Environmental Policy
Lifetime Doors, Inc. is strongly committed to the protection of the environment and to the responsible utilization of the world’s natural resources. Like other flush and molded panel door manufacturers in the United States, the wood components used by Lifetime to manufacture the flush and molded panel door products we produce originate in various parts of the world. Accordingly Lifetime has no direct control of either the origin of the wood fiber or the governmental regulation applicable to its harvesting.
Whenever possible Lifetime chooses suppliers of our primary wood components, i.e. molded panel doorskins, plywood veneer doorskins, particleboard, MDF, corrugated paper core, lumber and cutstock for wood stiles and rails, that are equally committed to the protection of wood fiber as a natural resource through the sustainable management of our world forests.
Enclosed is a list of Lifetime suppliers that are presently certified or working toward certification, the components they provide, the area or region from which the wood fiber in these components originates, and where appropriate the third party or government certification scheme(s) applicable.
Please be assured that Lifetime Doors, Inc. is committed to the use of “environmentally friendly” wood components in the manufacture of our door products. As such Lifetime will continue to develop and when possible give purchasing preference to third party independently certified sources, as they are and/or become available.
